WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Brown and Caldwell, a leading environmental engineering and construction firm, has opened a new office in Tacoma’s historic Brewery District to better serve municipal and private sector water and wastewater clients in the South Puget Sound region. The new office is located at 2501 Fawcett Avenue.

Brown and Caldwell’s history in the South Sound dates back more than 60 years, including the development of Tacoma’s first sewerage and drainage report in 1955. In the decades since, it has provided innovative planning, engineering, and construction solutions to the areas most complex water and environmental challenges related to nutrient removal, aging infrastructure, and population growth. The firm has worked with Pierce County Public Works since the early 1990s, most recently leading the design and construction management of award-winning upgrades at the Chambers Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.
