The reduced water usage in buildings, businesses, and schools closed for months, has potentially created stagnation in building plumbing creating water that is potentially unsafe to drink. Turning on the water for immediate use after is has been stagnant can pose a risk to public health if not properly managed. Some state agencies are prompting building owners/operators to take appropriate steps to prevent water quality problems prior to re-entry into buildings after the COVID-19 crisis.

This webinar will provide an overview of the newly released EPA guidance on Maintaining or Restoring Water Quality in Buildings with Low or No Use, leveraging data to target buildings with usage decline, and the best way to communicate this information to decision-makers reopening communities.
