Arriving at the best solutions through piloting
Brown and Caldwell has worked with numerous agencies to apply information gained through bench- and pilot-scale testing to make sound decisions and successfully implement new technologies at full scale. The decision to invest upfront in these pilots has helped agencies manage risks and move forward with confidence in new/emerging technologies while ultimately reducing costs and addressing future treatment requirements and sustainability goals.

Treatability testing
BC conducts treatability and bench-scale testing in the field and at our in-house treatability lab in Nashville, Tenn. From applied research to process optimization, our full-scale laboratory can accommodate our clients’ unique needs and projects. BC’s treatability lab has helped clients realize up to 70% savings in operating costs, eliminate entire treatment processes, and improve effluent compliance at a fraction of the original cost.
