Previous speakers have addressed how to identify energy conservation opportunities, how to analyze the opportunities, and how to replace existing fuel sources or better use resources at hand. These activities are complimented by examining how you can achieve your basic goal–adequate wastewater treatment–with less energy by modifying or changing your treatment scheme. This morning, I shall talk briefly about processes where modification may result in savings and then present three examples to emphasize the potential improvements.
