The Stege Sanitary District (District) initiated the first comprehensive rehabilitation project of a regional Infiltration/Inflow (I/I) Correction Program. The program involved the construction of major relief sewers and the “comprehensive” rehabilitation of portions of the existing collection system. Comprehensive rehabilitation is defined as the total rehabilitation or replacement of the public and the privately owned sewers within a subarea of the sewage collection system.
