Recent state-level reforms, combined with a seemingly more flexible federal regulatory environment, are encouraging the redevelopment of environmentally-impacted properties. It may be too soon to tell how some of these reforms and policy changes will ultimately impact the divestiture or acquisition of such properties, but owner’s should know that they needn’t wait to move forward with their redevelopment plans.
