New York State and Onondaga County have developed a total maximum daily load (TMDL) for phosphorus entering Onondaga Lake. Agricultural run-off was identified as a main source of phosphorus within the watershed. This paper summarizes findings from Phase I and describes in more detail the second phase of an ongoing project.
