Power generation from digester gas has been the subject of increased interest as a result of recent energy shortages and electrical rate increases. To efficiently utilize the digester gas the designer must first determine the power demand/production profiles of the plant, determine the optimum operating mode under established guidelines, and then provide the instrumentation and controls to implement the design. One control approach is presented to implement a typical design.
