Reacting to an immediate response action requirement due to DNAPL detection, BC designed and constructed a targeted shallow soil excavation for DNAPL removal and an automated extraction/recirculation system for recovery of deep DNAPL in groundwater. Value engineering and field-based decisions streamlined the project, priced it competitively, and controlled costs and risks. The highly compressed delivery helped meet regulatory timeframes and complete the project under budget and without compromising health and safety.
