Brown and Caldwell is helping the City of Richmond, Virginia, initiate an integrated approach to Clean Water Act compliance. The work requires coordination among multiple city departments, regulators, and the community to balance goals and costs impacting watershed water quality. The flexible framework will allow the City to address pollution from stormwater and CSOs, and will provide greater pollutant load reductions and water quality benefits. It is one of the first such integrated wet-weather management programs in the Commonwealth and is expected to give the City greater flexibility and cost savings in managing their compliance program.
